TheWOT series begins With "The Eye of the World", in the isolated valley of the Two Rivers. The home to three normal, yetvery important boys, Rand, Mat and Perrin. Their whole existance becomes turned upside down upon the arrival of an ominous stranger, dressed in cloak that remains unstirred by the wind. During a local celebration, their village, Emond's Field, is attacked by unimaginable monsters, creatures of fable, Trollocs and Myrdraals. Led by an Aes Sedai, a wielder of the mystic force theOne Power, Rand and his friends leave the village, embarking on a journey that will take them across the known world. On their journey to Tar Valon, the city of the Aes Sedai, the group become separated after an attack in the haunted city of Shadar Logoth, where Mat, one of the Three companions becomes possessed by an ancient evil.Perrin and Egwene, another of the companions travel deep into the forests on their journey, where Perrin learns a secret about himself, he is to become one of the Wolfbrothers, to talk and run with the wolves. Egwene, continues on her road toward becoming an Aes Sedai.Rand and Perrin continue toward Caemlyn
